"Thrifted and Modern"

I decided to style my good friend Remy, who is also a stylist. Her specialty is more so thrifted items that can put together to create modern looks, which is what I did in the photos above. To be honest, I did not think of the end use until afterwards which is a styling no-no in my opinion.

1st Picture
The picture on the left, is an outfit that could be worn to a business casual weekend meeting at the office. The tartan plaid blazer made from 60% cotton 40% Rayon, added a professional flare to the 80's black and red checkered stirrup legging/pants. The textured black and white Blondie tank top is from Forever Twenty-One and is 90% cotton and 10% Spandex Blend, the shoes are by Jessica Simpson.

2nd Picture
I call this outfit the "wild card" ensemble because of the vintage pattern in the skirt, the cross strapping stilettos, and of the uber haute leather jacket. The end use of this ensemble is definitely to either an art show or cocktail drinks with friends at the chicest lounge in town. It's a flirty mix of rebel fleur meets soho, and it is also a thrifted ensemble with the exception of the handbag (Michael Kors). The black leather jacket is 100% leather, the blue jean shirt is 100% cotton, the vintage black and white checkered floral chain skirt is 90% Polyester 10% Rayon. The shoes are by Steve Madden.
