Ashley Stewart Files for Bankruptcy
Plus-sized retail chain, Ashley Stewart has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy for protection and is slated to closed 27 of it's underperforming stores. In 2010, the chain was brought out of bankruptcy by GB Merchant Partners LLC, located in Boston, operating 168 locations in 24 states. It is said that potential buyers have taking interest in acquiring the company, expressing special interest in both the financial and apparel industries of Ashley Stewart.
