There is no high signs or graphics to draw you into the presentation. The theme is kitchen goods and it goes along with toher free flow sections in the store. they have incorporated furniture and wall hangings into the display to help maximize profits. The color story is much like that of the lay out of anthropologie a free flow layout.

No, but he wreath and flowers are it's own graphics. It covers a large area of the wall, so your eye cannot miss the bright colors. The theme is to keep the wreaths and flowers with its own kind. It is showcasing wreaths and flowers. Although it is just hooks sticking out of a wall, I would say it is a gondola fixture. There is no apparent color story here. It is set up that all the same kind if flowers and wreath are together. Even the wreath are in no apparent color story, the colorful ones could have some kind of relation. Such as complimentary or analogous color relationships.

During a visit in Target I found that the fixture in the store it is not attractive to the customers they don't have any signature or graphics guiding the customer to their multi use furniture department. As you can see in the second picture they don't have any guiding sing. The theme on the wall was a red neon light which do not catch my attention at all. Walking to furniture section you can see different types of accent chair and tables. At the entrence on the isle customers can found decorative vases. The fixtures are featured in shelves but the product do not give the customers any visual interest. Target shows pastel coordinating color story in their furniture representing the colors of the season.

In this photograph there is a graphic image above the product that directs the customer to the wall. There is not much signage displayed however there are images of men and women deciphering each section. Above is a florescent fixture custom designed to outline the store as well as lights accenting the product. The color story is split complimentary with a neutral white and pops of bright colors red and blue. This particular display only has sunglasses showcased. The Gondola provides a solid visual for viewing and testing each product.

The fixtures used in these displays are mostly tables and chairs, which also happens to be the product they're selling. Products such as dishes, charger plates, drinking/wine glasses, cutlery, napkins, placemats, and unique napkin rings. All of these items go along with the color story of the signage and products displayed on selling floor.

There is high signage on the walls were the items on sale are and its the same signs used on each single isle. The theme is dinning. The different kind of products that they have on the wall are ; plates, cushions for the dining chairs, table mats, and table linens. The gondola is the type of fixture that these items are displayed on. the colors go from neutrals to blues and then greens and yellows to orange and reds.

The store that I visited was IKEA. There wasn't much signage or graphics on this wall display to attract customers. But it did have a bullet point copy in an informally balanced layout. The theme of the wall display was children's kitchen supplies with products consisting of plates, bowls, cups and silverware. The fixtures on the display was a table and opened cubes hanging from the ceiling. Brights is the color group it belonged to, which is one of the reason it caught my attention! This display: Colorful and fun!

This is my best friend Vina. I wanted to use pieces that would be easy to interchange into other outfits with out it really being noticeable that she had wore one of the pieces before. Vina usually likes to stick to wearing black and does not like to wear a lot of prints or patterns so I wanted to put her in the opposite of black which is white and giving her a bight paint splash print heel. I had her put on a coral bra underneath the blazer to bring out the color in the shoes and to bring some color to the upper part of her body. I used light accessories, a gold necklace, watch and stud earrings.

The person I dressed up is my boyfriend Carlos. His outfit is a casual night out. His shirt is a comfortable thin cotton for the night breeze, and very thick ripped jeans. For accessories I added a fedora hat to complete the outfit. I dressed him up for the night out!

This is myself on my trip to Nashville. The dress is white and 100% cotton with crochet detailing. The Military green jacket is 100% cotton and paired with a red and green patterned scarf that is 100% polyester. The red leather cowboy boots stand out, but when paired with the scarf, play into the color scheme. This brown leather belt accentuates the natural waist and simple gold earrings are used to accessorize. This outfit is for leisure and is more of a fall look due to the layering.
Chico's outfit {Ruth-Ann}
My willing associate is dressed in Chico's attire. She said this outfit would be something that she would wear to school. This outfit to me is business-casual and I can wear it almost anywhere. She has on a Belladonna Pink Microfeel tank, it is 92% cotton and 8% spandex. It has a soft and slick hand. I went with that color because I didn't want to use the typical "white" to pair with it.
I layered it with Lucite Green Classic Crinkle button down, which is 100% polyester. I went with that color because she has a dark skin tone and it makes the shirt pop, while accenting her skin in a nice way I then added a part of Caspian Wash Premium Denim to it , which is made out of 80% cotton, 18% polyester, and 2% spandex. In chose this color denim because it balanced out the light colors on the top. I finished off the outfit by adding a belt hug her waist, while making her tummy look smaller. I also added a long necklace and bracelet set to match the button down. I added a watch just to add something different and just to pull the outfit together with a little pop.

"Thrifted and Modern"
1st Picture
The picture on the left, is an outfit that could be worn to a business casual weekend meeting at the office. The tartan plaid blazer made from 60% cotton 40% Rayon, added a professional flare to the 80's black and red checkered stirrup legging/pants. The textured black and white Blondie tank top is from Forever Twenty-One and is 90% cotton and 10% Spandex Blend, the shoes are by Jessica Simpson.
2nd Picture
I call this outfit the "wild card" ensemble because of the vintage pattern in the skirt, the cross strapping stilettos, and of the uber haute leather jacket. The end use of this ensemble is definitely to either an art show or cocktail drinks with friends at the chicest lounge in town. It's a flirty mix of rebel fleur meets soho, and it is also a thrifted ensemble with the exception of the handbag (Michael Kors). The black leather jacket is 100% leather, the blue jean shirt is 100% cotton, the vintage black and white checkered floral chain skirt is 90% Polyester 10% Rayon. The shoes are by Steve Madden.

My inspiration was the sea green combination high waist short shorts ,made of 100% polyester , they look very casual so i wanted to dress them up for a day to night look , the sweater is 60% cotton and 40% acrylic hand wash cold, the color is a warm clay combination reminds me of rose gold. The belt and shoes are leather and the clutch is clear black glass with gold. What i love about this items is that they are not basics but could be worn easily with other combinations and would take you from day to night locking fabulous.

My roommate Jen, is dressed in a career blouse and classic black pencil skirt. A crème colored top by Ann Taylor Loft to compliment her high-waist black skirt from The Limited and a nice pair of BCBG pointed toe heels. This style can be found in department stores near the business/career apparel. The fabrications used in this look are a nice light weight- 100% Polyester coordinated with 67% Polyester and 33% Rayon skirt. I think this is a classic look, using solid neutral colors with a gorgeous leather heel. The black accent in the shoes works well with the black in the
skirt.

For this blog post I chose to style myself in what I would consider to be the perfect look to meet the girls for dinner and a show. This look would work excellent in the fall due to the natural dark color palette with a semi layerd look. Im a huge fan of breaking fashion "Faux Pas" and making them work to help bring people out of their comfort zones. I started with a base look of a 100% cotton black t shirt from ALLSAINTS with a pair of 100% Italian leather biker pants with a silk lining, also from ALLSAINTS. I chose to go with a 3 in vintage Italian Leather Yves Saint Laurent Johnny Boot in a rich aged brown. The two leathers compliment while the black and brown clash yet work great while breaking a fashion "Faux Pas". Now comes the layering. I added a modern fit technical black silk jacquard jacket from Burberry to dress the look up and to add contrast. Playing with mutiple scarfs is a #fav of mine. I started with the Navy blue and black signature 100% silk Alexander McQueen scarf and layered that with a bandana print ALLSAINTS scarf. Grab my 100% Italian leather Alexander Mcqueen mens red clutch and its finished with a nice pop of color.

I coordinated this outfit incorporating a white dress with a gray cardigan, and a black belt perfecrt for a afternoon going out. The end use is casual dress wear. The fabrication is composed of a cotton dress (80% cotton and 20% polyestrer) and a cardigan (100% cotton). My style was classic and trendy by the time (spring 2013). The coordination of this basic primary colors give an organized and professional image accesorized with gray suede boots.

In this outfit I picked out I used a 80's- 90's inspired large button down shirt with a pair of regular denim jeans and some Nike sneakers that go with the funky shirt. The jeans were made out of 98% cotton and 2% spandex and the shirt was 100% cotton. the colors on the button down shirt were a mix of light purple and dark purple with aqua and a hint of a electric pink. The sneakers are black with a small amount of the bright pink and some of the aqua blue. I styled it with a couple of gold rings on both hands and a few gold chains. I wanted to give it a little hint of Mr. T to complete this 80's-90's look.

The outfit that I put together for my sister is casual, simple, and a I can say that it can look formal. The fabrication is composed of a blouse made of 96% of polyester and 4% spandex, white jeans and a black sandals with a flower. For the accessories she had on flower earrings. For the colors I use, for the blouse bright colors of a mixed of green, blue, and brown and for the jeans and sandals I use neutral color for balance. This style is a trend.

Here I styled my sister in a Coral ( picture does not resemble color) button down blouse with zipper detailed pockets, a pair of NYDJ dark wash boot cut and a pair of peep toe black rhinestone pumps. I mixed casual and dressy pieces.I coordinated the outfit with a polyester top and cotton (denim) for a casual look. Adding the black Rhine stone pump could take this to a night out attire for misses age group. The color I went with is mixing neutrals and brights.

I had to direct my fashion show flyer photo-shoot so I decided to dress comfortably. I put my hair in a bun for a clean face look. The weather was windy, in the sixties yet sunny. Therefore, I decided to pair tribal joggers with a light denim button down shirt and a black crop top. The joggers have a light pink base color that is complimenting spring. Also chose to wear my guess sandals since the sandal season is back. Accessorizing with two small and light gold necklaces, gold studs, and black sunglasses with gold embroidery.

Right when you walk in Zara there is a very calm and relaxing. The store has white walls with black and steel fixtures. The store itself and the window displays both have a very clean and sophisticated look which matches the style of clothing that the store sells.

Nasty Gal is an American based and owned retail online store. The product is funky, vintage, and pricy. The brand is currently looking a property in
Los Angeles to open their first in person store.
I think they are going to be very successful because their
price fits the Los Angeles lifestyle and, because being an online store alone the brand has already hit over 550,000 customers.

A few companies have changed their mannequins in order to re-invent the way we look at the human body. Recently, a company in Switzerland molded five mannequins of people with some sort of body disorder. For everyone viewing the window, it is a reminder that people come in all different shapes and sizes. Another controversial mannequin display came from American Apparel. The mannequins added pubic hair which sparked conversation over the expectations of beauty.

Yakira Blog 4: Versace Sells Stakes to Private Investors
Versace has fallen for the lusting tactics of Wall Street investors, who have whispered sweet-nothings into the ears of their esteemed board members. Versace has decided to sell twenty percent of their stakes to a private equity firm called Blackstone Group LP for two-hundred and eight-seven million dollars in cash, as well as shares in GIVI, which is a holding company privately owned by the Versace family.
Versace has been graced by so many celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, and Lady Gaga who has been seen in a variety of Versace ad campaigns channeling Donatella. In efforts to expand Versace on a higher global platform, like other design houses such as Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Michael Kors, they have succumbed to the persuading influences of investment hungry wall street geniuses, who are more than excited to have significant amount of shares in a company that is predestined to endure.
