FABRIC
Cocoa Couture Dress Project is a big challenge for me. It is a challenge for me because this is my first time sewing and I don't have the basic require knowledge to start but I know I will do it no matter the obstacles. My dress is divided in three parts, skirt, top part and a tunic. This fabric in the picture is for the tunic, I chose this color because is the most similar color of the dress I like and I think is the right texture for the use I want to give to it..
PATTERNS
The patterns that I need are for the top part and the skirt. This two patterns will help me get started and have a better idea in what sew basics are. Here I have different types of skirts and the one in the right is a patter for a dress which I will use for the top part. I think that with a lot of effort and desire I will come out with the dress I want to present.

This dress is
going to look awesome. Pattern is made and cut already. For the support under
the wrappers I decide to use brown suede. My foil wrappers are placed on top of
tape for support. I am almost ready to start weaving. My next step is to
prepare pink ribbons. This project is so much fun. I can’t wait to see it done.

This is not the finished product of course but this piece is the bottom of the jumpsuit I am creating. I created the pants part using a lightweight cotton fabric and some elastic for the bottom leg cuffs. I then sewed on the three musketeers wrappers on the bottom cuffs. You can't really see the pockets on the pants but the pockets will be lined with wrappers as well.

Hi Everyone, well since I'm covering my entire muslin fabric in cocoa powder I had to wait on the rainy weather to pass me by...
I finally had a chance to get started, but it's nowhere near complete. I'm thinking I might try other options for adhesive because I'm not too fond of the spray. I do have my York wrappers ready for the adornments, I just need more brainstorming on what technique I'll use to showcase them. Keep you all posted xoxo

Blog 5 - Mr. Goodbar
The pieces are coming together on my Mr. Goodbar dress. Using large wrappers will give me more material than a smaller wrapper. I really want to make this dress more of an art form, so trying a couple of techniques to make my dress stand out.
I decided that I will weave the bodice instead of laying out the wrappers. Want to give it more of a design, instead of a billboard look. As you can see... not so flattering right now...
The base is red because I wanted to create pleats that will expose the red to give the dress movement.
Sticking to the original flowers that will take more time to create, but will be so worth it!

The first picture is my template basically.I am going to use one of my old tee shirts for the top part of my dress. The bottom of my dress will be muslin with the wrappers layered and sewed on top.ihave cut the shirttop form my manican body shape.
The second picture is how im going to layer the kit-kat wrappers.oi will layer the top part of my dress on top of my dress.I will leave a 3 inch gap in between each row of kit-kat wrappers and red background on the upper part of the dress so the background red will be exposed to see.The bottom muslin will be completley layered in wrappers going diagional to give the dress an illusional look..

I decided my model will be a petite fitting into a size 6. At first, this seemed like a very good idea due to the fact that last year, most designers made their dresses into size 8 but now am rethinking how small a size really is! I have my pieces cut out and ready to start the sewing process of my muslin floor length dress.
While I am making the muslin part of my dress I have been collecting wrappers. I am trying to decide right now how I want to attach these wrappers to my dress. I want a sleek, clean, and fancy look but I don't want the wrappers to cheapen the this fancy upscale look. I am considering some type of glitter to make it really sparkle and pop off the runway! I have so many more wrappers to go!

I spent my time cutting out my pattern pieces this week for my dress. I also applied the pattern to the muslin and started cutting out some of the pieces. When i get to class on Wednesday i will be finishing up with my cutting and start sewing the dress together. Once i have the dress made of Muslin thats when i will start working on attaching the chocolate wrappers.

Hello guys,
this is a style done by me on a friend. I was inspired by ancient Greece. This modern Greek look has gold and black gemstones for the jewelry in this "so freaking cute" maxi necklace, from Macy's and bracelet from Guess. Make-up and hair also done by me. Her hair was curled than I put it half way up. Make up in gold.
High waist linen Anthropologie skirt, basic top from Nordstrom Rack and flats from Tommy Hilfiger also in gold.
Gorgeous , huh??!!
A especial thanks to my friend Christel Paradowski.

Window display at the mall - Juliana Gazio
Hello,
obviously this is Juicy Couture's window display. Juicy's visual merchandiser in my opinion did a very poor visual for Juicy, not creative , kept it clean and simple which is not what the brand is like. Some aspects of the Principles of Design that i'm going to criticize about this display.
Unity - all of the elements in a display combined make a harmonious, balanced and complete whole.
Harmony - Combined the display has balance, and the colors go well together, basically black, but not creative at all; and part of a harmony in a display is being "artful" and creative and I don't see creativity on this window.
Balance - It's optical weight isn't that bad, except for the fact that he has 3 mannequins, not four to balance equally the presentation.
Repetition - He did a good job with color, the repetition of the black and blending it in with touches of pink brought a good repetition and a good visual rhythm.
Rhythm - Since the mannequins are all on the same position they have good rhythm.
Emphasis - I don't see emphasis being brought up to any of the items on this window display. He failed to drive bigger attention to something.
Contrast - The pink was the only contrast he used to sell better the whole idea of the pants, blouse , blazer and necklace. Although a real contrast would of needed more creativity.
Surprise - No surprise here. Juicy's visual merchandiser stopped no light, traffic or actually anything with this so NOT creative window.

This my outfit to go to church for sunday night. This dress is made with 69% polyester and 31% lining. I chose to wear this outfit at night because of the shinning
look it has. My dress is really small at the waist and flared at the bottom. Also, there is little blue flower at the ribbon i put a blue hairband that match with it.

Pair of jeans, white shirt black short boots and black shades are some classics that will stay in style forever. The clothes are confortable and make a statement of elegance and simplicity, and still confortable for a long day at school. The white shirt can be mix and match with a variety of clothes like a skirts, shorts , can be dress up and dress down you just need to add some different accessories to it. Even though is Summer is Florida, classrooms are really cold so wearing a pair of jeans will keep you warm .Shades, still Summer and the sun is shinnning and bright.

Night's Style
This outfit was selected for a
semi-formal activity. The dress has my
favorite color which is green. The
material of the dress is 100% Viscose. I
picked this dress because it was elegant, and comfortable. The dress also was completely plane and that
gave me the option to decorate it just how I wanted. The cut in the back was perfect and that give
a little style to the dress. I use a
silver thin belt with a rhinestone pin attached to it. I also was wearing round silver earrings with
black shoes with a silver tint. I also
decided to make it more formal by wearing black stockings. For my hair I did a bun which can make the
cut in the back of the dress look nicer and to finish I did a very soft
make-up.

Louis Vuitton: You're Under
Surveillance
1.
Unity: It’s what make the concept understandable
and people can get the sense out of it.
All the elements together in this window display make a great piece
where customers can acknowledge what the final message is. Louis Vuitton Bag’s
reputation.
2.
Harmony: All the cameras are in the same level, then the pole with the purse and finally the guy standing; only three levels in this display which makes the
concept more peaceful and easy to realize the unity of the same. All the elements together are put there to say the same
message.
3.
Balance: This display is a great example for balance. The elements of the display are nicely organized,
where you can find the same items in both sides (cameras). The distance between
all the elements is the right one, because you don’t miss anything and your
eyes are guide through the main point which is are the bags.
4.
Repetition: You can notice the repetition in the cameras and its levels. Also the color black and grey are the one that predominate.
5.
Rhythm: My eyes where guided to go right and left and
then the center of the display where the bags are the main point.
6.
Emphasis: Is all put into the Louis Vuitton
Bags. The cameras’ direct you straight
to the point and the mannequin is standing there with one next to him and one
in his hand.
7.
Contrast: The main colors of the display are
black and grey and in order for them to stand out they decided to put a yellow
background which makes the products pop out.
8.
Surprise: I see the surprise strategy in
this display as the impact that a Louis Vuitton can have in the society. Everybody will be looking at you and
stereotyping your style.

This Naia, my 9 year old daughter. The outfit we chose, was a basic back to school ensemble (end use). She loved the updated plaid pattern on the shorts, which are different shades of pink. (color) to complement the shorts I chose the lil miss Seminole T-shirt because I loved reading the lil miss & mr series as a child;.and the deep burgundy is also in the plaid design. Her classroom is chilly so we grabbed a pink zip up with stripes on the sleeve to help emphasize the straight lines of the plaid (fabrication). To top it off she grabbed some black sneakers with pink detailing. How cute is she? Ready for another day of learning while looking great and being comfortable xoxo

This is one of my friends in England i styled her outfit one night when she was going to the bar with her friends. She was in love with her purple dress so i just added the accessories of a belt and some bracelets. I feel like black always accessorizes well with anything and it worked really well with the purple dress. I also added black heels to stick the all black accessories. The dress was also a very comfortable fabric so she wouldn't have to worry about feeling uncomfortable after being out for a while.

I styled my good friend with a cool and collective outfit he would wear on an average day. I began by choosing a shirt from my new collection,It is a "MORELESS MONEY" tee shirt made with 100% cotton on an ash grey tee shirt which could run you about 25 to 30 dollars online. The next item Ichoose to style him in is his light blue denim jeans from ARMANI EXCHANGE with custom rips and damaged denim which can run you about 120 dollars. The shoes I chose to add to his outfit by "AIR JORDAN" made from leathers and suede which can run you about 180$ if you could find these shoes anywhere. The last item to this outfit is his cap made also by "MORELESS" made with cotton and has custom embroidery with original designs.I put this outfit together from some of my favorite brands and styles i would wear.

The way I styled this outfit was simply by comfort and look. I wanted an outfit that was simple but still cute and fun for a girl. I picked a light colored stripped button up shirt and tied it in the front and rolled up the sleeves. I chose light denim shorts with a plain brown leather belt to go with the shirt. I completed the look by matching all the accessories using browns that would match the brown belt.

Styling Myself for the Bachelorette Party
Being invited to the bachelorette party, sounds awesome, right? Girl’s night out, fun, fun, fun …But, picking out the outfit being the manager’s wife is not an easy job. The bachelorette was the finance of another manager from my husband’s work. So, I needed to look presentable and respectful. Knowing that we will be walking down-town Saint Augustine (bar hopping, dancing) after our dinner I wanted to be comfortable. The bottom that I wore for this night were made of cotton ¾ capris cargo black pants with lace-up decoration on the sides going down my legs; very interesting pants with a lot of dark metal adornment. Top was a sleeveless blouse, made of jersey cotton with metal straps, very attractive. And the most important of course were my shoes that I picked; patent black leather with a very high platform. To top everything off I put on a large dark tone metal necklace. My watch and my wedding band I never take off, they looked perfect with all the bling and metal. My purse was a black medium size patent leather to match my shoes. Hair, and make-up of course and I was ready. I had a great night after all.
