Gene Moore has created a myriad of unique and whimsical window displays for Tiffany's. One unusual display in particular that interests me is shown on the right, depicting a flawless, smooth sphere resembling the moon in the upper portion of the composition, while a pearl necklace unravels in the lower plane. This display interests me as I find that by altering the product being advertised, Moore created something that is truly thought provoking. By arranging the necklace in a manner that it unravels on one end, and positioning the lighting so that the moon above appears to be shedding light upon this, creates a sense of wonder - as if suggesting there is beauty in imperfection. Although, it may also suggest metaphorically that a Tiffany pearl necklace shines bright like the moon, even when imperfect.
