The elements of this display are a very colorful, floral, summery background combined with soft, pastel, lacy apparel. I feel like it impacts the communication by not being too overpowering. Also, by not being too bland. If the wall was kept the same and the model was wearing a lot of colors it would be very tacky. And if the wall was very plain and soft to match the model it would be very dull and not as fun. I think its a great color/texture combo! :)

 Summer Paradise

This recreation of leisure bliss takes you back to those warm summer days spent by the pool. The use of the ripple print curtains gives the feel of cool water and the wam breeze of the summer air. The real palm trees bring the effect of a tropical summmer day, while the inflatable pool toys give a feel of playfulness to the store.

This visual display catch my eye because the lines and levels that has represents an open space more like the mix of the waves of the oceans and the earth. Also the colors brings a sense of being calm and relax getting that customer to another place.

I chose this image because I believe that the combination of the color will catch the costumers attention. Pulse it brings a refreshing feeling the combination of shapes n lights are very bright and vivid and you can never go rung with neon colors.

Ruth-Ann: "Summer Haze" BP2

This is called "Summer Haze". The spring/summer 2015 fitting room trend is to bring the outside in. This illusion with the lights and curtains give the appearance of the sun shining in softly in the distance. This will make costumers feel relaxed, because it has a beach feel to it. The look of sand on the walls and the lounge chairs adds to the whole beach trend.

For Spring and summer there's going to be a lot of different naïve patterns from the clothing to the window displays. Solid lines, blown up scaled patterns, and irregular shapes and lines will be used to capture the attention of consumers. With all of the different color of lines and back rounds, the consumers will be intrigued by the details and may want to have an interesting piece in their closet.

In order to forecast visuals, we need to forecast fashion so we know how to tie the two together. I chose to look at swimwear first because it is a popular purchase for a girl in spring and summer. One of the major trends for Spring/ Summer 2015 is the ice cream cone. In swimwear and in visual merchandising, the ice cream cone represents the flirty all american girl back in the 50's. High waisted and classy, yet a fun mix with modern chaotic displays. The displays will be playing with skewed surfaces and ice cream parlor colors.

Harmony S/S Forecasted Visual Merchandising Trend 2015

The Element of the Trend is solely focused on creating an organic, holistic, and botanical experience for the consumer. The POS zones are surrounded with bountiful backdrops that stimulate ones touch senses with textured tiled countertops, faux moss floor rugs, and wall-to-wall vegetation similar to the Garden of Eden. This type of layout correlates with brand adaptation with the seasons as well as emphasizing the importance of a Zen environment.

The element in this picture are  a variety of luxury and sophistication in our trends. Earthy colors like blueberry, burgundy, dirty pink in combination with delicate fabrics like velvet, silk, and shiny materials are going to be in the most famous displays around our stores in 2015.

Summer Haze. S/S15
Summer Haze trends are meant to compliment the colors and lightness of summer. This photograph of fittingroom trends speak a sense of elegance. The light grain wood of the floors are a nod to the beaches driftwood, the open layout allows for the flow of air and to allow for wandering. Close the curtain to try on a dress and you've stepped into your own serene world; an expanse of the clear skys and clam seas of summer.

Mega Trend: Memory
Sub trend: Modern Vintage
The elements in this photo are that it's past meets present with contemporary twists. It impacts the display because it can bring back a memory and entice the person in with it's bold print but subtle like colors.

This trend has many elements from the bright colors, the fun ice cream treats on the wall, to the tropical fruits wallpapers. The message it is trying to portray to the consumers that it's fun and bright. It's trying to catch the attention of the consumers with the neon colors and their unique display, which is a good way to bring customers in to buy their merchandise.

Spring/Summer 15 Forecast-

Our current demographic is into the sixties and vintage feel. Customizing the windows with retro props such as this plastic flamingo or beach chair will pull the customer in. The beach look will make the customer feel as if they lived in Miami although they live in a non-beach state. Thinking outside the box and involving props and not only the basic mannequin has become popular.

Alexis: Window Display.

I like this display by Simon Doonan because it makes the viewers head literally turn to visualize the manequins walking up and down the stairs. If you can actually make a person phycially react to a display instead of just a mental awareness, that is powerful.
