What I still needed to finish on my project was sewing on the last bit of cardboard. I had to sand paper down some mason jars as well. I also had to spray paint some chains and mason jar caps to make them all match the same gold tone.

I'm so excited to finally see the absolute finished project .  I named my mannequin Jenyfer .  To see the final product in the window with props and accessories was a gratifying feeling . 

My garment didn't exactly come out as I had anticipated.  those darn sea shells !!! 

A few people took one look at the garment and they all said the same thing "that's so you". I can dig that . 

Week 9 Karla Salazar

I am still working on my props, I have applied all the pieces that are made from clay and left to dry. Once the clay dries than I glue the napkins onto them. Once the napkins have dried then I can start painting them and completing them.

I have finished sewing the basics of the dress as showed in the above picture. I have also started to glue the napkin flowers to the top part of the dress. The only thing left to do in order to finish the dress is to finish gluing the flower napkins as the dress is covered completely with them.

I have finished drafting my corset pattern. Ready to cut out my fabric. I would say it’s about 20% done so far. Sewing my corset doesn’t take that long but making some patterns with ropes on it will take more.

I am still combing ropes for my skirt. I would say I’ve done 60% of my rope skirt so far.

About props for my installation, I am planning to hang colorful decorative strings from the ceiling like a curtain.
